The Limetree Restaurant
The Limetree has been one of the top restaurants in South West Scotland for more than a decade, but it’s not ‘fine dining’ in the traditional sense. There is, however, consistent emphasis on the best quality ingredients, many sourced from the Moffat area and seasonal cooking. The Chef, Matt Seddon sums it up well:
“I cook what I like to eat – real food – big taste and flavour, no fuss.”
Matt cooks alone in the kitchen and, as such, has full control over the food he produces on our short but frequently changing menu. If you would like a vegetarian meal or have any other dietary requirements please let us know when you book.
We are open for dinner Tuesday to Saturday from 6.30pm. Winter opening hours: dinner Wednesday to Saturday from 6:30pm.
Fresh, seasonal produce is used as much as possible. Our local suppliers include Barony Country Foods and Paterson Fruit & Veg.
